In this week's episode, we discuss the continued production and use of CFC-11 in China, a warning from the UBA about R1234yf, and last week's ATMOsphere France conference.

Brought to you by shecco Media, the NatRefs Show provides a round-up of the most important natural refrigerants news from the websites and

In this episode shecco's European Editor Andrew Williams joins shecco's European reporter Charlotte McLaughlin to discuss the news that 18 factories in China are continuing to produce and use CFC-11 (an ozone depleting substance that is banned under the Montreal Protocol).

Next we take a look at the German Federal Environment Agency (UBA) warnings that the degradation of HFO R1234yf – which is widely used in mobile air-conditioning systems – into trifluoroacetic acid (TFA; the atmospheric by-product of HFOs) could contaminate the water supply as the HFO cannot be removed after contamination has taken place.

Finally we end the show with a look at ATMOsphere France that took place last week in Paris, France.
