ATMOsphere, publisher of R744.com, has issued a call for case studies from manufacturers of natural refrigerant technologies to be presented at the ATMOsphere (ATMO) America Summit 2023, which will be held Monday, June 12, and Tuesday, June 13, 2023, in Washington, D.C.
To be considered, presentations must be relevant to the North American market, refer to a real-life installation and include an end user or affiliated contractor on site or in a pre-recorded video.
Case studies can be submitted here. The deadline for submissions is March 10.
This 12th annual edition of ATMO America will gather key industry experts, including manufacturers, policy makers, end users and contractors, to learn about the latest developments in natural refrigerant-based HVAC&R systems, including those using CO2 (R744), hydrocarbons and ammonia. Last year’s ATMO America conference was held in Alexandria, Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C.
You can now register for the event here and find the preliminary program and other information on the event website. ATMOsphere is offering an Early Bird discount of up to US$150 on standard tickets until February 24. End users can register for free, and contractors/installers of HVAC&R systems are eligible to receive one free ticket per organization, with a 50% discount on additional tickets.
Submitted case studies should relate to one of the following applications of natural refrigerants (typically CO2/R744, hydrocarbons or ammonia/R717):
- Commercial & light commercial refrigeration
- Industrial refrigeration
- Heat pumps
- Air conditioning (mobile & stationary)
- Transport refrigeration
- New areas of application
Case studies should address the efficiency of systems and include a cost analysis, including cost of energy, operations, planning installation and life cycle.
Each technology case study will be allotted a maximum of 10-12 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for questions from the audience. Changes are possible depending on the session.
Confirmed speakers will receive a 50% discount on their admission ticket.
In addition to case studies, the program will feature a keynote presentation; end users’ experiences with natural refrigerants; policy and standards updates, including the latest from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on its “Technology Transitions” proposed ruling; a discussion on the impact of PFAS refrigerants on health and safety; and market and technology trends.
