“At this year’s Chillventa we are focusing on CO2 applications – our main target is letting our customer be ready for CO2 refrigeration technologies in all formats with our experience,” said Nicola Pieretti, CAREL’s Application Manager in Retail Solutions.
The Italian company expects the market for CO2 technology to increase significantly not just in traditionally strong growth areas like Europe, but also in the rest of the world.
“We are presenting here for the first time the new Hecu sistema for CO2 transcritical condensing units, the high-efficiency solution based on DC inverter technology. New features and products complete our standard range for CO2 transcritical compressor racks,” said Giovanni Tonin, CAREL’s Application Specialist in Retail Solutions.
Hecu sistema – responding to new market realities
With the Hecu sistema, CAREL is making competitive the application of CO2 as refrigerant in the condensing unit industry, a fast-growing market previously dominated by HFC solutions.
This new solution stands out for energy efficiency and food quality thanks to the application of DC inverter technology, electronic expansion valves and optimisation algorithms that combine the condensing unit and the refrigerated loads.
For this application, CAREL is offering cloud-based monitoring services to embrace incoming demand for remote connectivity, multisite analysis and energy efficiency comparisons.
New add-on for CO2 racks
CAREL is also offering new add-ons for its pRack controller range: innovative touch screen user interfaces to improve the user experience, new features to further increase energy efficiency, optimising the use of parallel compressors, and reducing the installation cost.
New solutions are also presented to explore fast communication within all controllers in the field through Ethernet networks, opening new frontiers for system optimisation, COP calculation and comparisons.
Chillventa 2016 is taking place in the German city of Nuremburg from 11-13 October.
