Targeting the supermarket refrigeration sector in warmer and milder climates alike, Carrier Commercial Refrigeration will present its new CO2OLtec Evo system at next month’s EuroShop tradeshow in Düsseldorf (5-9 March).

Refrigeration typically represents some 40% of a food retailer’s running costs. Carrier’s new CO2 transcritical rack, which includes newly developed adjustable modulating ejector technology, is designed to improve system efficiency in warm climates and to provide heat reclaim in cold and mild climates.

CO2 is a safe and non-ozone depleting gas with a global warming potential (GWP) of one, making it the baseline against which the GWP of all other refrigerants are measured. Using CO2 thus eliminates the global warming impact of any potential refrigerant leaks.

“As a leading refrigeration equipment and solutions provider, Carrier is committed to innovating and elevating our product performance to set new industry standards and meet the expectations of our valued customers.

Bertrand Gueguen, president, Carrier Commercial Refrigeration

Carrier’s stand will feature a wide range of sustainable solutions for commercial and industrial refrigeration applications. They are designed to maximise product display, enhance the retail environment and increase shopper comfort, while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption. The stand will also showcase a wide range of serve-over and self-service counters and plug-in solutions, a semi plug-in range and after-sales services.
