Italian component manufacturer Castel has established a subsidiary in the Middle East with the aim of securing a direct presence in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, according to a statement from the company.

In addition to supporting its partners and end users, Castel Gulf DMCC, which will be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, will provide a more efficient supply chain, the company said. The subsidiary will also enable technical support to facilitate a more sustainable market in the region.

“In the last few years, we have gained the trust of companies in the GCC region [and] experienced excellent growth in the territory,” said Salah Abdelghani, General Manager at Castel Gulf DMCC. “We at Castel believe the decision to have close commercial and technical proximity to customers in the region is a winning formula for establishing a mutually lasting and profitable long-term relationship with our historical partners. This will secure Castel’s ever-growing presence in the region.”

To better serve its customers in the region, Castel Gulf DMCC’s warehouse will stock the manufacturer’s complete product range.

‘Continuous’ product development

According to Castel, the “continuous development” of its products to meet customer needs enables it to grow its market share and expand into new territories.

Over the last four years, the company has doubled its CO2 (R744) portfolio to meet growing demand for CO2-based systems.

“Since the time of our establishment in 1961, our focus has always been on unwaveringly meeting the requirements of the market and on satisfying our customers, worldwide,” said the manufacturer.

“We live in an era in which the HVAC&R sector is attentive to the environment and to the use of new refrigerants with low GWP,” it added.

Through its product development, Castel has products that are suitable for a wide range of refrigerants, including hydrocarbons, as well as CO2.
