As the phase down of HFCs continues in the EU and around the world, the interest in CO2 (R744) refrigeration is ever increasing. Therefore, we have invited Sergio Girotto, President of Italian CO2 manufacturer Enex for a live interview. Girotto will be sharing his expertise and experience with ATMOsphere’s Marc Chasserot on June 1 at 3pm CEST (9am EST).

The 45-minute interview will be streamed live on R744 and LinkedIn. You can ask questions  and interact with Girotto through the ATMOsphere LinkedIn page. It is free to attend.

Enex was founded in 2004, and the company exclusively designs and develops high-efficiency refrigeration systems using natural refrigerants, particularly CO2. To date, Enex has deployed more than a thousand CO2 transcritical refrigeration systems, installed in all weather conditions.

Enex offers a wide array of CO2 products like commercial refrigeration systems, brine/water chillers, heat pumps (for sanitary water), industrial refrigeration systems and freezing tunnels. The company also organizes CO2 training courses.
Enex manufactured the first CO2 refrigeration system installed in the Middle East in Jordan  in 2018. This system was installed with support from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and replaced an old R22 system. It has proven very energy efficient, saving around 40,000kW  in its first year of operation. Read more about that system here.
