Italian OEM Enex, a pioneer in transcritical CO2 refrigeration, plans to showcase its Yukon Gravity CO2 Chiller and Reversible Chiller at the Virtual Trade Show (VTS) on September 1-2.
The online event, which aims to connect suppliers of natural refrigerant-based HVAC&R systems and components with the global cooling marketplace, is being hosted by ATMOsphere Marketplace, a division of clean cooling accelerator shecco (publisher of this website). Founded in 2004, Enex has installed thousands of transcritical CO2 systems in Europe and around the world, including warm climates, the company says.
The Yukon Gravity STD CO2 chiller offers cooling capacities from 50 kW to 500kW (14.2TR to 142.2TR). The brine/water temperature ranges from -25°C to 10°C (-13°F to 50°F), and the efficiency remains high at ambient temperatures up to 42°C (108°F). Options include total or partial heat recovery for domestic hot water or space heating up to 85°C (185°F), and an ejector (the enjector) to maximize efficiency.
The Yukon Gravity R CO2 Reversible Chiller offers the same capacities and temperatures in the chiller mode as the Yukon Gravity STD model. In the heat pump mode, the Reversible Chiller delivers heating capacity from 70kW to 300kW (19.9TR to 85.3TR), and water temperature on the user side from 50°C to 85°C (122°F to 185°F), at an external temperature down to -10°C (14°F). Options include total or partial heat recovery for domestic hot water or space heating up to 85°C (185°F), and the enjector to maximize efficiency.
The Yukon Gravity is being used as a process chiller for wineries, as an air conditioner at a five-star hotel and in other applications, the company says.
