The first Sanden CO2 condensing unit (CDU) was installed this month at a convenience store in Ciechanów, a city in north-central Poland.

ENRECO – a consultant on natural refrigerant technologies in Poland and the supplier of the SANDEN’s CDUs there – hopes this will lead to more installations.

“CDUs are a new product in Poland, most companies don’t know about them – we are working strongly to change that.

“CDUs are a new product in Poland, most companies don’t know about them – we are working strongly to change that,” Maurycy Szwajkajzer, a member of the Board at ENRECO, told R744.com.

ENRECO assisted with the configuration, installation, and startup of the Ciechanów unit. It is for low-temperature applications as low as -22°C with a cooling capacity of four kW.

A growing market?

Currently ENRECO has been very active in promoting natural refrigerant-based technology in Poland.

“We are 100% engaged [with] CO2 in Poland,” Szwajkajzer said.

The Polish company has decided to work with SANDEN to supply more units. “There have been more CDUs sold but they are not installed yet,” he said.
