The first ATMO World Summit for natural refrigerant technologies was a success with attendees from more than 70 countries around the world and representatives from more than 400 companies.
The event, organized by ATMOsphere (formerly shecco), publisher of this website, took place online March 30–31. It featured 19 webinars, including presentations from prominent natural refrigerant manufacturers like TEKO, Johnson Controls, Emerson, M&M Carnot, Energy Recovery, Danfoss, Alfa Laval, Dorin, Carel, Tecumseh and GEA.
The webinars included the latest on heat recovery and other emerging technologies in CO2 (R744) systems, and updates on ammonia/NH3 (R717) heat pumps, heat exchangers and packaged systems.
The event also featured presentations from the Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA), the Cool Up Program and the Cold Chain Innovation Hub in the Philippines. ATMOsphere team members Jan Dusek and Ilana Koegelenberg gave updates on the state of the natural refrigerants market in Japan and the new natural refrigerants textbook, respectively.
The webinars were live-streamed on multiple platforms for the first time, including on Zoom Events, LinkedIn and the ATMOsphere marketplaces R744.com and Ammonia21.com. The streamed webinars have received more than 8,000 views and counting, as they are now all available on the ATMOsphere TV Youtube channel.
The various presentations have also been posted on social media, where they have garnered over 52,000 impressions and counting. The presentation slides are available to view here on the ATMO events website.
