Future Green Now (FGN), a Hartbeespoort, South Africa-based consultancy focused on natural refrigerant applications, has joined the world’s leading CO2 (R744) refrigeration companies as a bronze partner of the R744.com marketplace.
Founded in 2020 by CO2 specialist Wynand Groenwald, FGN offers facility design, product design, engineering and project management.
FGN is based on “a long standing passion for the environment and vast experience within the design and implementation of refrigeration solutions, making use of CO2 as a refrigerant,” the company said. Its independent consulting services are “technology driven, environmentally focused and socially responsible.”
FGN’s services are offered throughout Africa, North America, South East Asia, Europe and Australia.
In the U.S., FGN helped develop a CO2-based chiller for process cooling and hot water generation at a dairy in Tulare, California – the first chiller of its kind made in the U.S., according to Groenewald.
A recent project in South Africa involves a 5.2MW (1,479TR) CO2 system for a citrus warehouse.
