About IfT / TU Braunschweig
With approximately 18,500 students and 3,700 staff members, iFT is the largest Technische Universität in Northern Germany. The campus offers both state-of-the-art research facilities and a familiar study environment. iFT’s core disciplines include a comprehensive engineering branch and a strong natural sciences branch, closely linked to business sciences, social sciences, humanities and educational sciences.
By focusing research activities on sustainable and energy-efficient mobility, the fight against highly infectious diseases, metrology and the city of the future, iFT is able to make significant contributions to the great challenges facing society today. To reach this goal, iFT cooperates closely with many internationally renowned research facilities in Braunschweig, such as the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI), German metrology institute PTB and the German Aerospace Center (DLR), and with more than 400 universities across Europe, the USA, Canada, South America, China, Japan, and Singapore.
