British gas-detection equipment specialist International Gas Detectors (IGD) has joined some of the leading R744 companies as a silver partner on the marketplace.

IGD’s portfolio of products includes a range of fixed and and portable gas detectors for “accurate and fast detection of CO2 in refrigeration systems.” The company also produces gas detection control panels and accessories, and supplies systems for both zoned hazardous area applications (per ATEX) and non-zoned safe areas.

In IGD’s portfolio  can be found Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled addressable fixed CO2 gas detectors for continuous plant and personnel detection, as well as portable CO2 detectors for personnel protection in confined spaces, refrigeration engineers or logistics.

IGD’s products are “designed to protect people and plants against gas hazards in industry, research, commercial and domestic applications,” the company said. “Everything from initial consultancy through system design and installation is addressed, offering a true turnkey capability.”

In addition to CO2 detectors, IGD also manufactures sensors for ammonia (R717), and a range of other gases like carbon monoxide (CO) and pure oxygen (O2).

Located near Manchester, U.K., IGD has been in the gas detection business since 1917. The company’s clients include several industrial refrigeration facilities.
