shecco, organizer of ATMOsphere conferences (and publisher of this website), has announced the second round of case studies on natural refrigerant technologies for ATMOsphere Europe.

The initial round of case studies was announced on July 3.

The 11th edition of the ATMOsphere Europe conference – dubbed the ATMOsphere Europe Summit – is scheduled for September 28-29. For the first time, the conference will be a hybrid event, taking place both online and in-person in Brussels, Belgium.

Second-Round Refrigeration Case Studies:

Efficient Energy: Water (R718) as refrigerant: a case study in the automotive industry.

Nidec Embraco, co-presented with Epta: Commercial refrigeration energy saving and labelling EEI improvement, using Embraco VCC compressors and new smart control.

Secop: Most powerful hermetic V-Speed R290 solution – SLVE18CN.

Second-Round HVAC & Heat Pump Case Studies:

Biaggini Frigoriferi, co-presented with Migros and Eliwell: Swiss shopping mall implements 600kW CO2 reversible heat pump/chiller.

Seeley International: Co-presented with FACQ and Bioclimas: FACQ offices and commercial warehouses cooled with water (R718), improving indoor air quality for staff and customers.

GEA: GEA’s 6MW ammonia heat pump turns energy from coal mine into renewable heating.

Fenagy: Large air to water heat pumps with CO2 as refrigerant

Second-Round Transport & MAC Case Study:

TEKO: Board kitchens sustainably equipped – CO2 cooling in very small spaces (trains).

ATMOsphere Europe will also feature discussions on the European Union’s F-Gas Regulation review, and the impact of HFO refrigerants on health, safety and the environment, among other topics. The preliminary program can be viewed here.

Other topics in the program include
• Keynote presentation
• Market mega trends
• Natural refrigerant technology trends
• End user best practices
• Training
• CEO interview with Teko.

There will be a networking dinner the evening of day one.

Teko is the platinum sponsor of the event; gold sponsors include Castel, Arneg, Epta and Emerson. A complete list of sponsors can be found here.

The conference is expected to attract more than 500 attendees, including end users, policy makers, manufacturers, researchers, academia, NGOs, associations, media and consultants.
