The Open Trade Training Centre (OTTC) – a leading provider of commercial and industrial refrigeration and air-conditioning training in South Africa – marked its 25th anniversary by installing a CO2 rack this month

Peter Döbelin founded the OTTC College in 1992, in a small garage adjacent to his home. It has grown to supply internationally certified training courses for commercial and industrial refrigeration, air-conditioning, ammonia refrigeration, heat-pump systems, electrical engineering, controls for RAC and transport refrigeration.

“The college is very grateful for the many companies, both locally and in Germany, that have sponsored all the components and material.

The BITZER CO2 training rack was co-sponsored by the German and South African HVAC&R industry.

“The college is very grateful for the many companies, both locally and in Germany, that have sponsored all the components and material for the CO2 plant, which will benefit our many students, not only from South Africa, but also from neighbouring countries in sub-Saharan Africa,” said Isolde Döbelin , director of the OTTC, at the anniversary celebration.
