As our preview coverage of new natural refrigerant products at Chillventa 2016 continues, today the spotlight falls on component manufacturer Henry Technologies, which will be showcasing a host of safety and controls for transcritical CO2
In developing the HEOS Sistema, CAREL has come up with an environmentally friendly refrigeration system for supermarkets that was recognised with a 2016 AHR Expo Innovation Award in the ‘refrigeration’ category.
Natural refrigerants are creating new opportunities for data centre cooling as hyperscale data centres change the market for precision cooling.
At this year’s AHR Expo in Chicago, Emerson had their IPro Genius programmable controller on display. The IPro Genius controls high-pressure controls and bypass valves effectively to help maintain a constant flash tank pressure which is one of the keys to full efficiency when using a transcritical CO2 booster system and adds to the larger system to ensure optimal results for commercial refrigeration.
The new IntelOil is designed to electronically control the oil level in the compressor crankcase, using high resolution float-sensor technology. The standard product has a maximum working pressure of 60 barg and the high pressure version has a maximum working pressure of 120 barg, which is suitable for use in transcritical CO2 systems.
