Together with Danish subsidiary Advansor, Hillphoenix has now installed more than 12,000 CO2 systems around the world.
The ultra-low superheat module can raise the evaporation temperature by 4–5°Kelvin and help provide energy savings of up to 30%.
The two companies won for a collaboration that saw a CO2 brine chiller solution installed at a food packaging facility in the U.K., saving the end user 30% in energy.
The heat pump from Danish OEM Advansor will replace 250 oil and gas boilers, and cut an estimated 1,200 metric tons of CO2e emissions per year.
The installation has been nominated for the Chiller of the Year 2022 award by British outlet ACR News.
The certificate is part of the company’s goal to become carbon-neutral in 2025.
The company has just broken ground on a new manufacturing facility next to its headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark.
The energy-efficient store includes a CO2 refrigeration system with permanent magnet motors, and cabinets with EC fans and LED lighting.
